ABOUT THE ORIGIN ARTS AND COMMUNITY CENTRE
Operating in a small house on Lynsdale Avenue in Mechanicsville, Origin Arts was founded in 2016 by poet Jamaal Jackson Rogers, storyteller Jacqui du Toit and hip hop artist Captain. The three artists launched the initiative as a gathering place for artists of all disciplines to connect with the immediate community and to celebrate traditional world arts culture.
