When Indigenous farmer Arthur Copper begins planting wild rice to reclaim lakeshores, the seeds bloom into a funny-yet-fiery exchange between the farmer and a white cottager, Maureen Poole. The confrontation traces issues of ownership and community.

Prologue Series
The Prologue Series continues to bring exciting discussions and unique experiences to GCTC that take us into the creative process of the plays on our stage.
Cottagers and Indian’s Prologue Series event takes place at 6:45pm on Wednesday, November 27, and will feature an Interview with Richard Rose, Artistic Director of Tarragon Theatre, founder of Necessary Angel Theatre Company, and director of Cottagers and Indians. GCTC’s Artistic Director, Eric Coates, will be conducting the interview.
