When big city radio host Charlie King is forced to take a job managing a small town station, he has no idea what’s in store! Not only does a pandemic begin his first week in Port Belette, but he quickly finds himself chasing a story of municipal corruption. From the writer of Bed and Breakfast comes a hilarious one-man comedy reading about a down-on-his-luck DJ, a local lottery, and the search for truth in these unprecedented times.
Mark Crawford is one of Canada’s most-produced playwrights. His work has been seen across the country and internationally. He is the author of The New Canadian Curling Club; Boys, Girls, and Other Mythological Creatures; The Birds and the Bees; Bed and Breakfast; and Stag and Doe. For CBC Podcasts/Expect Theatre, he wrote the audio drama Don’t Get Me Startered. He is currently a member of the Alberta Theatre Projects’ Playwrights’ Unit, developing a new play about drag queens and conservatives titled The Gig. All of Mark’s five produced stage plays are published by Scirocco Drama. As an actor, he has performed from coast to coast, including a successful run of Bed and Breakfast at GCTC in 2018. He grew up on his family's farm near Glencoe, Ontario, studied theatre at University of Toronto and Sheridan College, and now lives in Stratford.
